Explorations with Jenny

My sis, Jenny, came to visit this past weekend.  I put together a few trips to show her the best of the central KY outdoors.  Here are some highlights!

Elkhorn Creek

Jenny and I floated a 6 mile run and fished the banks.  It was my best fishing experience on the Elkhorn yet...by far.  We each fished a 4 inch worm (pumpkin and purple in color) and caught lots of small mouth, rock bass, and 1 large mouth.  Jenny and I both pulled in a monster smallie!

At the beginning of the trip, Jenny was scared to even touch the fish and by the end she was a pro!

Swift Camp Creek

Kaleb tipped me off to some great trout fishing in the Gorge.  It took us a little while to find the creek but when we did...it sure wasn't hard to find the fish.  Jenny and I had never caught a trout before.  They were biting on black rooster tales.  Nearly every cast produced a fish.  So much fun!!!

  1. Hey man looks like you guys had a great trip. Do you have the GPS coordinates for where you were on Swift Camp Creek? Or just any directions? Thanks

    1. Hey Curtis, we parked at Concrete Bridge. Then we hiked upstream...not far at all...and the creek feeds in on the right. We just walked up the creek and fished the pools.
