Elkmont Bear Sighting!

Jackson, Manny and I used a Saturday to explore some trails near the Elmont Campgroup.  We started by hiking up Jake's Creek Trail, cut over on Cucumber Gap Trail to Little River Trail and back up to the parking area.

Today was our first trip with the waterproof camera I purchased from a lady on Craigslist.  This picture shows off the "nature" setting.

The highlight of the trip was definitely this bear sighting.  We stayed at a distance and snapped a few pictures.  Mama or Papa Bear was guarding a few cubs that scurried across the path a few times but I wasn't able to get a good picture.  The bears weren't in a hurry at all and we waited, along with a few fly fisherman, about 45min for them to move out of the area. 

Only on our return did we see this notice sign.  Pretty crazy!
