Yesterday I had the opportunity to take a day for relaxing and refocusing. I wasn't planning on a hiking day this week, but as I looked at my schedule and the weather report I just couldn't pass it up. A free day and 50 degree weather in January....I couldn't resist.
I don't know the Red River Gorge too well so most of the trails are still new to me. I filled my pack with items for a few fishing and brewing VIA. Then Ramsey and I were on our way.

Swift Creek isn't an easy trail. I'm not exactly sure how far hiked, but Ramsey and I were both worn out by the end. |

This was one of my favorite spots along the way. I would love to come back and kayak through it! |
