This year for Man weekend, we met up at Brown County State Park just south of Indy - Sept 27-29, 2013. |

It was 4 generations of the Jacobs men and we had a great time! Quinn and Jackson were 1st Timers. |

We only stopped twice. First, at the KY line to stretch our legs, change a diaper, and... |

...make a quick phone call. |
![]() |
Second, to grab a grilled cheese at Zaxby's. |

We camped at the the Taylor Ridge campground inside the park. It was a great home for our 2 night stay. |

We didn't plan much for our time, and that made it relaxing. There was plenty of time for...playing with plates, |

with the race car Grandpa gave Jackson, |

and with rope, |
![]() |
drinking coke, |
![]() |
making a swing, |
![]() |
spitting, |
![]() |
playing in the dirt, |
![]() |
nerf gun wars, |
![]() |
hiking, |
![]() |
collecting wood, |
![]() |
chopping wood, |
![]() |
and sawing wood. |

Dad planned most of the meals and they were delicious. |

Jackson demonstrating how to crack an egg. |
This was my first camping experience with my little man, I wish I could re-live it every day. But, here are some things I want to remember...

Sleeping next to this guy in his pack and play was so much fun. We basically picked up his bedroom from home and put all the essentials inside our tent. |

Jackson didn't eat a lot of food besides Pop Tarts and Orange Juice. Ok..., that's all he ate. |
![]() |
Nights were the best part. Jackson stayed up past 10 every night to play with Cody and Quinn. The lantern was not only fun to stare at, but also made a great pretend blender for making smoothies. |

Jackson's favorite toy was this extension chord carrier. It was a ladder, a gun and a lawnmower...incredible! |

One morning, Jackson woke up and said, "I'm so proud of you, daddy." No, I'm proud of you buddy! He's a good little man. |

Slowing down. Hangin out. Just being together is always worth the planning to make it happen. Looking forward to next year! |
